Coach Mikki
"Alright, team, Bring it in and take a knee! Football has been my lifelong passion, and I've worn many hats in this incredible game. From stepping into the role of team mom, working the chains, being a spotter, equipment manager, Assistant Coach, and ultimately donning the title of Head Coach, my journey has been nothing short of exhilarating. While my teams have clinched Division championships, Super Bowls, and earned spots at All-Conference, I measure success beyond the scoreboard – every season is a victory, and each of My Guys is not just a Must Play Player but an absolute Must Have.
My love affair with football started at age 7, thanks to my new Dad, witnessing Fran Tarkenton lead the 1970 New York Giants to victory against Dallas. Fast forward more than 30 years later, and football has become an integral part of my life. The turning point occurred when my six-year-old son asked to join the game, shifting my focus from a spectator to an active participant. I eagerly volunteered for anything that could benefit not only my son but the entire team. Even in the role of team Mom, I treated each player as if they were top-tier athletes.
As the years passed and my journey evolved from team mom to Head Coach, I made a personal promise to break the stereotype. I vowed not to be the coach who keeps parents at arm's length. My success isn't solely based on crafting winning offensive and defensive plays; it's rooted in fostering a family and brotherhood mentality off the field first.
Football, to me, extends beyond the four quarters on the field. A winning season starts at home, in school, during practice, and on the sidelines. My guys aren't just players; they're my family, and their parents are an essential part of our team. So, let's bring it in and celebrate the broader essence of football – a sport that shapes lives, both on and off the turf."
